• Professor Edwina Brown is a consultant nephrologist at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and is President of the International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis. 

• She has published on peritoneal dialysis, outcomes of older people on dialysis and renal palliative care and has over 200 publications.  

• She is currently the principal investigator for Kidney Transplantation in Older People (KTOP) which will complete during 2023. 

• She co-chaired the ISPD guideline committee (2014-2020) and chaired the group developing the 2020 guideline on ‘Prescribing high quality, goal-directed peritoneal dialysis’.

• She co-chaired the KDIGO controversies conference on symptom-based complications in dialysis in May 2022.
